01 / The approach

Thoughtfully selected.
Personally considered.

Post-op lymphatic drainage is a specialised, gentle hands-on treatment that may be considered during recovery. We will ask about your procedure, recovery stage, current symptoms, and the guidance from your surgeon or healthcare team before discussing whether a treatment is appropriate.

What would you like to focus on?

Exploring recovery support after an operation, once your surgical team has confirmed it is appropriate. Your goals are the starting point; they are not a promise of a treatment outcome.

Before requesting a callback

  • Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your surgeon or healthcare team.
  • Ask them when hands-on treatment may begin and whether they have any restrictions.
  • Be ready to share the type and date of your procedure, your recovery stage, and any relevant written guidance.
  • This service does not replace surgical follow-up, wound care, or medical assessment.

02 / What to expect

A clear plan.
No assumptions.

We want you to understand your options before you commit. Bring your questions to a consultation and ask for a clear explanation of the proposed plan.

03 / Individual suitability

Your care
comes first.

A website cannot determine whether a treatment is right for you. Please discuss your personal circumstances and any questions with the practitioner before proceeding.

When to seek medical advice

Do not wait for a callback if swelling is sudden or severe, the area is red or hot, you have a fever or feel unwell, or you are concerned about your wound. Contact your surgical team, GP, NHS 111, or urgent services as appropriate. Chest pain or breathing difficulty requires urgent medical help.

04 / A little clarity

Your questions.

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly which treatment you need. That is what your consultation is for.

We start by listening to what you would like to change, what has been bothering you, and what you would realistically like to achieve. From there, we can talk you through the treatments that may be suitable for you, explain how they work and help you understand your options.

If we do not feel a treatment is right for you, we will tell you. The aim is to recommend what makes sense for your body and your goals, rather than simply booking you into a treatment.

How many sessions might I need?

There is no single number that is right for everyone.

The number of sessions we may recommend depends on the treatment, the area being treated, your starting point and what you would like to achieve.

During your consultation, we will discuss what a realistic treatment plan could look like for you. We will never promise a particular result, and we would rather set realistic expectations than recommend more treatment than we genuinely believe is appropriate.

Is there downtime?

Downtime depends on the treatment and how your body responds.

Many of our treatments are designed to fit comfortably around everyday life, but we do not assume that every treatment will feel exactly the same for every person.

During your consultation, we will explain what you may notice afterwards and whether there is anything you should consider when planning work, exercise, social events or other commitments.

What happens during a consultation?

Your consultation is a relaxed conversation about you, your goals and any concerns you may have.

We will talk through the area you would like to focus on, your expectations, relevant health information and the treatments that may be suitable. You will also have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you need.

We will explain what the treatment involves, what it may feel like, the expected aftercare and what you can realistically expect from a course of treatment.

There is no pressure to make a decision on the spot. We want you to feel informed and comfortable before choosing whether to proceed.
